Curtis Institute of Music

This internationally renowned institute has been training young musicians for careers as performing artists for over 70 years. Students present free public recitals every Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings during the school year. Special events and concerts are also presented both at the Institute and at other halls, such as the Kimmel Center.

Philadelphia Chamber Music Society

PCMS is the largest chamber music presenter in the U.S., and a resident company of the Kimmel Center. They present more than 60 annual concerts by leading international concert artists, including chamber music, recitalists, singers, jazz greats and special programs – at very affordable prices ($16-22 for all tickets). PCMS performs in eight halls throughout Center City Philadelphia. Season.

The Mummers Museum opened in 1976 and is dedicated to the Philadelphia celebration of New Years. If you’ve never seen a Mummers Parade, you’ll be fascinated. If you have seen the Mummers, this is a chance to see memorabilia from the long history of these amateur strutters. There are also lectures, children’s programs, and, of course, concerts.
