This understated
two-story row home was the residence
of Marian Anderson, widely considered the
greatest contralto singer of the twentieth century.
Anderson’s most famous legacy was her
performance in front of 75,000 people at the
Lincoln Memorial, after the Daughters of the
American Revolution refused to let her sing at
Washington DCs Constitutional Hall. Founder
